Concrete, you cannot escape it. Its EVERYWHERE! The Ancient Romans used it to build their bridges and its just as prevalent today in North Jersey. As one of the most prevalent building materials in history, concrete will usually stand the test of time. We at North Jersey Excavation have learned to embrace this building material and we have a lot of fun doing so. Weird, right? We do not think so! 

Concrete is so versatile we as a civilization have found ways to use this material to build the infrastructure to our everyday lives. From sidewalks, to curbs to entire structural foundations, it's no secret concrete is an essential part of our every day lives. So what's the science behind building with concrete? Concrete is a mixture of sand, gravel, cement and water that once mixed and allowed to harden will last hundreds of years.
